Our new chicken coop!

Well hello, we live in central Louisiana and we have just about finished our chicken coop. There are a few more things that need to be done to it. We are getting there. My husband built it

. I did the painting on it
I did not know it would be so interesting having chickens
I hope you enjoy the pics and I will add more as the coop changes
We have one Rooster named Elvis, and nine chickens, Bardrocks and Black sex links. And we have two Dachshund's Roux and Poppy

Thank you Joanm, you live in Benton. We live in Bentley, La. So similar in name! I am not sure where Benton is. We are just north of Alexandria. Small world

Hi Wendy - Benton is north of Shreveport/Bossier.
I know where you are, I was born in Alexandria, lived in Marksville until we moved to Shreveport. I moved to Benton eight years ago. I still have relatives in Marksville.

Thank you! Our chickens are about six months old. And they are laying quite well I think. Better than I thought they would for awhile.
