We went out of town Friday-Monday. It was about 95 on average. Guess I have to throw away the eggs that accumulated while we were gone? :(

I wouldn't toss them. There are times when I let eggs sit in the nests for three days before collecting. And many people let eggs sit on the counter for a week or so before using... But if it makes you squeamish, then cook them/feed them back to the birds...

Fill a bowl with cold water, put the eggs in there one by one. If the egg lays flat in the water, eat it, it lifts up or floats, toss it.

Scramble them, shells and all and give back to the chickens. When I get cracked eggs, I feed them back to the girls. I also crumble up crush red pepper. They don't taste the heat and pepper has 2 advantages. It makes them drink more and they will lay better. Also It shocks any worms in their intestines and they turn loose and pass out in the droppings. (or at least I've been told) My girls aren't any the worse for it
