Out to the coop!

See ya! Out of the house finally! May be a little early but I can't take them in the house any longer. I have the run just about finished. Just need another box of staples from the hardware store tomorrow and it will be all done. Hopefully they stay warm enough. Night time lows are 45-50ish for the next few nights. But I put the heat lamp in there so they should be alright. Pretty exciting day moving outside. Chicks weren't too thrilled at first. They should warm up to it though.

Not the prettiest run but I made do with mostly scrap wood I had left over from previous projects. Dimensions are 32ft long and 26ft wide. 5 1/2 ft tall. Hopefully it's enough room for our 12 chicks to enjoy. I think we have two roosters so we will prolly be down to 10 chicks once confirmed.

Now I just need to finish some little stuff up on the run and work on my watering system.

I put mine out in the coop at four weeks old. They were in the house for one week and the garage for three. They loved it! They are six weeks tomorrow and they all pretty much roost at night now as well and don't really use the ecoglow in the coop.
It is nice having them outside!
