Outside Time?

When's the best time to put my 4 week old (tomorrow) chicks outside in their smaller coop, before introducing them to the larger one? They have most of their feathers and the temperatures this weekend will be between freezing at night and 60 in the day time. I'm planning on waiting til it warms up then putting them outside - does that sound like a good plan?

I put my BOs outside at 6 1/2 weeks of age (June 10th in Nebraska) a couple days before we had to go out of town for the weekend. My neighbors came over twice a day and another friend came by once. Then we monitored them for that next week, and then we went on vacation out of town for 10 days!

They did just fine!!

PS - Your plan sounds fine as long as it doesnt get too cold. 4 weeks is still young.
