1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
One year, golden sex-link, smaller than buff orpington but seems regular weight for size.
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
Very lethargic, was laying down outside. Eyes closed unless she is picked up.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
We noticed her acting unusual about an two hours ago.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
No.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
No.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
Perhaps she is over heating? It is in the high 90s right now.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
Yes, both. Her crop seems more full of water than food.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
I think her poop is normal, the small bit of poop stuff to one of her feathers close to her vent leads me to think so.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
Got her wet, but not soaked. Put her on a wet towel in front of a fan. Going to try and get her to drink some Pedialyte mixed with water.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet?
Treat completely ourselves. My parents will not take her to a vet.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
Here she is laying down in front of the fan.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Sleeps on a roost bar that is about 3 feet higher than the hay. During the day they have full access outside to a yard.
