I have a male goose that has been having some troubles walking. I have asked around and some people have been saying he might have some hip problems. I live over 40 miles away from the closest vet, is there anything I can try over the counter before I take that long trip?

Can you get him some Brewers yeast or Niacin, how old is your gander and what do you feed? Even though all my flock are 1yr old and older I still add brewers yeast to their feed, it gives them the extra B vitamins that chicken feed doesn't have and I can't find duck/goose feed in my part of the country. Brewers yeast[not baking yeast] helps with leg problems .

If you go with niacin make sure it's plain niacin not flush free or time released. 100-150 meg per gallon of water.
