I placed 7 eggs into the incubator late in the evening on April 22nd, I've been counting the 23rd as the first day but I was just reading that you don't count the first day?
Either way, they should have hatched today and so far nothing... Not even a peep from the chicks.
We candled them during the incubation phase and all but two showed signs of life, now the only thing I can see is the air sack.
I know sometimes eggs can be a day or so late but all five?

Yes be patient pending on temp and humidity when they will hatch.. even my broody had chicks hatch on day 23.. I have seen people say on here they have had them hatch up to day 25.

5/13 would be day 21. So your just a couple days over at most. Its not uncommon for some chicks to hatch on day 25.

One has started to hatch, it's been at it since this morning and it's only opened a hole about the size of a dime.
The incubator I have them in is the type that has them standing up on it's end, I wasn't happy with that option but it was all I could get at the time. I have room to lay them on their side of I wanted to, should I do that or just leave them alone?
