Overhead containment for a run......

I see a lot of people with nothing on the tops of their runs. How do you keep your chickens contained? Do they not try and fly out the top of the run or are the wings clipped?

imho a 2 meter fence should keep unclipped chooks in and predators out (Assuming it's dug in. The cover is to stop Hawks at need.....) A 1 meter fence if not worried about predators and clipped wings

I had a chicken wire top and recently upgraded to a full metal roof. never had an issue with chickens getting out
