Hi all,
I'm not sure what's wrong with my Khaki Campbell ducks. Maybe it's because they're overweight, but my duck's eggs are only weighing around 60g-70g. Any information will be useful.

Thank you!!!

Being an over weight duck can cause egg laying problems and also leg problems so try to get some weight off of them by cutting back on treats if your giving too many and exercise if possible. Don't skimp on high quality feed though but no corn since it will pack on the pounds but not give much in the way of nutritional value,do they get to forage and walk around or are they confined to a run?

Obesity definitely could be causing the small eggs.

Do you have food available all day? That might cause them to be lazy and just hang around the feeder, snacking and getting fat. I usually offer a feeder full of food twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. I give it to them, wait about fifteen minutes or until they have all wandered away, and then put it away. This way, if they want to eat in the middle of day, they have to exercise themselves and look for their own food.

The pen should be big enough that they can run around. And corn definitely could make them fat.
