Krystal, take heart, they will decide when they are ready to use the roost. Do not put food or water up in the roost. At six weeks old they are still figuring things out, give them time...

Chicks that grow up without an adult flock to show them the ropes take longer to figure things out but they will.
Your coop may be lacking in ventilation and size and it is just too hot in it for them. This is particularly true for those tiny pre-fab coops that are sold in the feed stores. You may want to start a new thread in the Coop & Run forum and post pictures of your setup there.
