What a fabulous forum!🙂
So after reading some posts I take it that it is best to put os and grit in different containers and not mix with their pellets.
My hens are almost 7 weeks old. I have 3 Azure, 3 BSL, 3 red X and 1 Barred Rock rooster. I haven't let them outside yet as I have no run and my garden is close by with seeds coming up. Any thoughts?

are you implying to let them run in your garden? Mine ate all my pea sprouts. Mrs wasn't happy...

Oyster shell is only used to provide extra calcium for for hens that are actively laying. Your birds are much too young to need oyster shell. Grit can (and IMO) should be provided to birds of all ages. Just make sure it is appropriately sized for the age of bird you have.

Great info. Thanks 👍

I keep Poultry Grit and Oyster Shells in separate containers.
I offer Poultry Grit after 7 weeks old, (Chick Grit at 2 weeks old).
I offer Oyster Shells after 16 weeks.
