We just started giving our chickens oyster shell a couple of days ago and the roosters seem interested in it. Will it do them any harm?

Chickens are curious about new things offered to them.
I introduced Oyster Shells separately for my 7 Barred Rocks at 17 weeks and they totally went Nuts for it. They consumed a half quart in two days. Then consumption faded and at 6 months only chip away at it.
If you provide Granite Grit for your Flock separate from Oyster Shells they should be fine.
Chickens may consume excess Oyster Shells when Granite Grit is what they are seeking. GC
