Will oyster shell work for calcium and grit or do I need both?

you need both

I think you need both.........if they freerange at all, I also think they get enough grit that way......... but I do both when cooped up for a while

How is the best way to feed it?

oyster shell? or grit? I mix both in with the feed and have had it in separate bowls too.........just let them decide how much they want
