Oyster shell

If I maually just mix some oyster shell in with my layer feed, is that okay or do Imhave to provide an at will oyster shell feeder seperate?

It's better to provide it seperately so they can eat is as needed.

If you're not having problems with thin shells, you don't HAVE to give it to them at all
Layer feed already has added calcium (which is what MAKES it "layer feed")
