Hi everyone!

I found a bag of Oyster shells that are three years old in the shed, they were kept dry and cool, could I still use them for my hens?

Anyone? Please!

I would think they still have all the calcium they came with. I would put it out and see what they think of it.

Wow, I dont know....I say...let em have it...I dont see how it would have lost the effeciency. You said it was kept dry...should be just fine. Is there a manufacturer number on the bag? You might contact them and ask.

Oyster shells are a mineral product. It doesn't go bad over time like feeds can.
