My chickens were laying soft-shelled eggs so I gave them oyster shells, which they would not touch, so I tried putting the oyster shells in sour cream and they LOVE it, but is it possible for them to have too much of it??? Will they get sick??

They prob'ly won't get sick from it.

The oyster shells will collect in their gizzard, like any grit they pick up and swallow. Since it is soft, it gets ground up pretty easily. Some of it gets absorbed, and the rest will get pooped out.

Thanks so much!
