Hello,
Had chickens now for a little over a year, we have 6 teenage guineas, 25 adult chickens, a broody on 5 chicks, and 5 teens in the grow out pen at the moment.
The wife likes a colorful flock so she has picked essentially one of everything... I have no idea what they all are. I know 3 of the chicks are silkies along with 3 of the teens. Those I intend to breed and sell at the animal swap along with bantam polish and possibly cochins.
We use BackYardChickens.com a lot to answer questions that we run into and for ideas on projects. I am fairly handy with the woodworking so it is nice to see what others have done and try to incorporate the good stuff together in projects.
The wife works and I am retired military so I am the farm caretaker currently. I need more toy money though so I am looking to find employment again maybe...
We have a dog and a bunch of cats and we are adding several ducks next spring. I need to build yet another coop for that. I'll get pictures together and what not once I am able to put a photo album together. Anywho, that's about all I know to put down in the intro.
Thanks for a great website, will see you around.
