I have asked several people and I am not getting the same answer... I even called the fair coming up and the guy wasn't sure... I had my flock tested in October and have added to my flock since then...the chickens I want to take to the show are not on the list for the test... will they still fall under the list or do I need a new test?

I think it would depend where they came from. Where they chicks when you got them? If they were chicks from a hatchery and your flock is tested I would say you'll be ok. But I think your answer is going to hafta come from the fair extension or someone in your state. Wish I could be more help.

In my state, testing is free if they are also tested for bird flu at the same time. Ask about that, if cost is your concern.

Here, when new stock is brought in, it voids your clean P/T test. Even if you have them on a separate piece of property, like a neighbor's place it is voided unless you never go to take care of them.
The new stock is not covered unless they have been tested.
I hope you get your answer for your area soon.

Here you are not suppose to bring in any new stock unless it has been tested from a pollorium free flock. Even eggs are the same way, this is part of the program.

Do you mean just tested, or NPIP? NPIP is more restrictive, and does not allow contact with non-NPIP birds/eggs. My tester told me that I may buy, sell, pet, etc. other birds as long as I use common sense. My testing certificate is good for a year unless I make a dramatic change in my flock, like bring in a new breed.

I did bring in 2 new breeds, one was a silkie from someone else (craig list I think) and another was a trio of nankins that I know are from a p/t tested flock but I didn't get a copy of the test. ...ugh this is all so confusing!

I should have just called my local p/t tester at the beginning of this year now, I am afraid even if I can get them tested this week it might be to late for this show.
