Is page wire OK for geese or can it injure them (getting their neck stuck etc)?
When they have goslings I will be taking them to brood so I won't have to worry about the babys getting out through the holes( I'm not taking them just so they don't go through the wire I'm taking them to make them friendler and so that I can get two clutches a year instead of one, them not getting out through the wire is just an added bonus

What do you guys think?

Well if I knew what you meant by "page wire" I might try to tell you what I think. In brief if they can get their head through a hole they will probably try and can injure themselves (sometimes fatally) in the attempt.

I have no idea what "page wire" is, but if they can get their head through a fence hole, then they can get hurt or killed.

I have some field type fencing with 2" X 4" holes. I have found my chinese with their heads and necks woven in the wire. They stick their heads through to get something on the other side and then instead of just backing out they stick their heads back through another hole. At that point they are stuck until rescued. So far I have found them in time to get them loose without injury, but trying to unweave a goose from a fence can get interesting to say the least.

I just did a quick search and it looks like maybe your page wire fencing is the same as our field or woven fence. So, my thoughts are: if you need the strength of the page wire for the fence and cannot get some with smaller holes, then put some chicken wire along the lower portion to keep them from sticking their heads through it.

If the holes are too big they just walk through it.
