Painful Molt!

Hey y'all,
I guess I just need a little moral support???
Our last hen (1 1/2 years old) is molting and I can tell she's in A LOT of pain. She can hardly move and when she does get off the roost (to eat, drink water, etc.) she always cries out...
I'm really feeling sad for her, and every time I see her, I feel the pain too. She's our only flock member to have it this bad, our rooster and hens got through their soft molts pretty quick and painlessly. She has new feather shoots sticking out everywhere!!! And she doesn't have a tail. She has such a great personality and is usually super happy but now she seems very...deflated.
I haven't held her since the molt started but that doesn't seem to make a difference in her pain. I've been offering her a lot of protein-packed treats but she doesn't even have the energy to take them from me.
I'm constantly feeling bad for her...has anyone else had it this bad?
😔

Tho this bird was rather unaffected by her spikiness, I've had others that spend a few days isolating, then they are fine.

Are you sure it is just a molt? Check make sure her crop is good. Check her for sore feet ect.
Her crop and feet look fine. I've been trying to feed her protein foods but she doesn't have the strength to eat most of it.
Photos? She might not just be moulting...
Okay I am sooo sorry these pictures are very blurry, I was trying to take them, and my hen kept trying to move around:

Yup she does look a lot like that. I'm pretty sure the reason she's in a lot of pain is because of her molting.

If you have a rooster I would separate either the molting girl or the rooster until she has most of her back feathers back otherwise she may get cut up from claws/spurs. Also keep a close eye on her just to make sure that there isn’t something else going on. And I would make sure she gets offered food separately at least once a day. Something high value and high protein like plain yogurt and scrambled eggs. I’ve had a few hens go through really rough molt’s to the point of it being painful before. It was hard to watch.

In my case the hens started avoiding the flock because of the discomfort staying on the roost during the day and refusing to jostle for space and the feeder/waterer and sleeping in a nesting box.

I am so glad it is just the molt. Sorry she is in pain. Protein is all I know to do. You seem to be doing a great job.
