Paint for coop

Linoleum is the absolute worst flooring material to work with and anything even semi sharp, like a rock stuck in the bottom of a show, will slice it. Plus the glue/adhesive is expensive, messy to work with. You will save time and money with other options. I've even accidentally put my finger right through some of the cheaper stuff.

I highly recommend anything else!!

Where are your hens going to be while you're doing this? It'll need to dry before they can go back in, unless you're only painting the outside. I wouldn't want my hens breathing paint fumes. What color are you thinking?

I put linoleum I'm my coop. It's only been a yr, but I like it. Cleans up so easy. I didn't glue mine. I built the floor, rolled out the linoleum, then built the walls on top on it.

That is an interesting way to do it and much faster than glue!

I still hate the stuff and think it's the worst, for floors. For poop boards, walls, or other things, different story.

what would you recommend for the floor that is durable and easy to clean?

My chicks are still in the brooder for a few more weeks. It will have plenty of time to air out before they go in there! I was thinking, white, or a very pale blue, even a pale sage green.

You could also stain or whitewash the walls, although paint would be nice. Definitely do it before the birds move in and mess the walls up!
Best to use a low VOC product if you can.
My coop has an old concrete floor, with rubber stall mats, and then shavings. No experience with a wood floor here.

Likely talking about vinyl, not linoleum  (sorry pet peeve). :D

I used it in my coop, but got a good heavy duty foamed backed version.
If corner broke when I bent it, it got rejected.
Used it on my poop boards too.
Didn't glue it anywhere, and it's laid over HC.
Has held up well for 6 years.
Just tacked it up where it goes up walls.
