Hello all,

I may be getting a really decent dog house in which I'll convert to a coop. MY question is, should I paint the interior of the dh/coop? If so, what should I paint it with?

Thanks!

Paint is not necessary, but I found that cleaning the inside of the coop is substantially easier if you have painted. Poo simply washes away with soapy water. Prime first (very important) preferably with an oil based primer and follow with several thin coats of exterior satin or semi-gloss paint. Latex is fine (and easier to clean up after). Lighter colors will brighten up the interior.
