Paint inside of quail enclosure?

Hello!

I am currently rehabbing an old chicken coop to use as a quail enclosure. Its been years since the coop has been used, and the wood is in ok condition, but could use a sealing paint job for longevity and such. Was wondering if anyone has painted the walls of their enclosure? I know its not something id do in my chickens coop, but I don't have much experience with quail and I know they are different so I thought it might be ok. Just curious what your thoughts are.

Just don't use red color ... too much red makes them aggressive.

Using white has advantages and disadvantages. ... pro: reflects light good for healthy and good laying birds. Contra: gets dirty fast
