Hello,

What would be the best paint to use for the interior for my new coop.? I just want something to be able to be easily cleaned/scrubbed to keep it as clean as possible.

I was thinking of deck paint but I want to make sure that it's safe for the girls.

Thank you so much for any advice ahead of time.

Sincerely,
Jodi

I was thinking about the same thing. I think an semi gloss or gloss paint would be best because it'll be more scrubable. And I am going to do a low voc or no voc (lowes has a great zero voc paint) so there are no fumes. But would interior paint work or does it have to be exterior?

I just used left over interior semi gloss latex on mine. If it's the inside of the coop it's not going to be exposed to the weather so you don't need exterior paint.

As mentioned above check with lowes for color rejects or for an even cheaper option put an ad on Craigslist stating you are looking for left over paint. Many people have paint leftover that they never use(I just used my own left over for my coop). You can either get several colors and mix them or paint different areas/walls different colors.

Sounds good ya'all

I was figuring some sort of semi-gloss, something easily cleaned. All of your ideas make sense and I thank you for taking the time to throw an answer/suggestion my way.

Have a beautiful day.
