Paint Silkies?

I found these photos on Feathersite and I was wondering if any one knew anything about Paint Silkies. What is the difference between a Paint and a Splash and is anyone in the USA working on them?

It seems to me that the "paint" color is actually what is termed "mottled", meaning it's basically white with black spotting. "Splash" is actually pale blue with darker patches of blue.

I have seen pictures of mottled Silkies before listed under Dalmation Silkies. They were all in Germany. I would certainly love to get some.

Mottled is actually the opposite, its a black bird with white spots.
