Painting/Color inside of coop

Turning part of a wood shed into a coop, one of my questions (to myself) is "what color will I paint it, should I paint it at all?"

We currently use a large tractor/small coop and I painted the inside red just like the outside and honestly, it looks great - I know some people warn about red but the chickens seem to like it..

What's your favorite way to have the inside of a walk-in coop?

I.Don't.Paint.
Too much work to prep surfaces properly and nothing worse than peeling paint.
I'm lazy... and cheap.

I see no reason to paint the interior of a chicken coop,
unless you're a clean freak,
then the right paint would make cleaning much easier.
Or if you live where roost mites are a problem,
then caulking all cracks and crevices and painting can help with that.

If you want to paint go for it!!
Color doesn't matter, make it what pleases your aesthetic.
Agrees red and chickens isn't really an issue, lots of wives tales there.
A light color would make it brighter inside,
I just use a lamp on cloudy days or a headlight when I need more light to see.

Whatever color you have on hand or can get inexpensively. I painted mine an off white that was on the "oops" shelf at Home Depot. And it was semi-gloss, so it wipes clean (so far). It's pretty. It's happy. It's bright. But, most importantly, it was cheap! Lol!

Is a color (yellow) stain for exterior ok for inside of coop. New to this, prepping for arrival. I don't want to paint with anything that can harm them
