Those nights of just a couple hours of upper 20's, mine always did fine, keep their feet warm is the biggest thing, heavy bedding and good roost they can tuck their feet under on is important. Those HARD freeze nights, low 20's or teens for a long period of time, usually Feb, here, that's when you really need to watch them, and a heat lamp would be a good idea on those nights.
In all cases like this, when in doubt, overkill is usually safer than being sorry.
That being a smaller pen for them, will help in the winter too with the plastic, the day time heating will be held in if it's wrapped tight for quite a few hours after dark, that along with the heat lamp in the coop and it should feel good even to us in there.
Keep me in mind when all these guys start breeding. Want to get back a lot of my pheasants in the next year or two. All the trags and peacock pheasant of course, along with the impeyans, mikados, elliot's, edward's, and eared's are all on my list. Use to have all of them, sure miss them
