Pale wattle and legs look pales swollen and knock Kneed-whats wrong?

Poor little guy. 8 month old golden sebright Roo has swollen legs and are pale should be grey. Wattles are also pale-ashie. He is having difficulty walking. Does this high step thing. kinda falls to one side sometimes then balances with with his wing. Lives on dirt coop and free ranges in the afternoon. What is wrong with him? Thanks for any help in advance.

I recommend you visually inspect him for lice/mites. Are the scales on his legs lifted some? If so, it could be scaley leg mites.

You will need to retreat around 10 days later with the dust to get the hatching eggs otherwise the cycle starts again.

Do you think he has worms too?
For scaly leg mites they recommend a worming medication so you can hit them both with the same med.

I did think of worms too. I have the ivomec eprinix (sp?) for that. Will try that next. Thanks for the help.
