Advice desperately needed please. My duck eggs are now 1 full day overdue and with no sounds coming from the eggs I made the the decision to tentatively start to nip open one of them only to find a dead duckling. Fearing the worst I started opening another to find this one was a dud. I was now convinced the whole batch would be a dead loss so I proceeded to start opening another, removing a tiny section of shell and then the (white) outer membrane leaving the transparent inner membrane in tact. This time I cpould see a living duckling but the visible blood vessels are still quite red so I didn't go any further. So I have 4 eggs with what look like live ducklings inside but which aren't making any sound. How long more should I leave them before I intervene? I would really hate to lose them through inaction. Any advice would be very greatly appreciated, Thanks.
