My friend has a sebright who is panting and sneezing, presume its a cold
Her comb is a purple colour .

she is eating but not sure if drinking. She has been isolated.

what can she be feed to help her recover

Get some Tylan 50. It is a liquid and has to be injected with a syringe. If she is not drinking it's the only way to get it in her. I've been told a chicken can't have a cold. They get a respiratory disease. The only way you know what disease it is, because there are so many out there, is to have the chick autopsied if it dies! Look up respiratory disease on this sight, it will scare you, but it provides a lot of information.

Could she be panting from the heat? Does she have any discharge from the nose? Is there something in her environment making her sneeze? Can you hear any congestion when she breathes?

The hens panting is not from heat as it is winter here in New Zealand. She was isolated for a bit until she calmed down and then she was put back with the other chickens. Her panting has calmed down today but the sneezing is still continuing. My friends dad put some pea straw outside the house as the ground was becoming muddy due to bad weather. She has been digging around in the pea straw so it could be that? But she seems alot better. My friend is still a bit worried though.
