Hi BYC family😁

Yesturday we found a baby chick:jumpynewly hatched laying on its back next to its mother. We have peakocks on our plot and they peck the chicks 😢(we would get cages but we dont have enough money)

The baby chick seems to be paralize (not sick -I do have experience with sick ones but this is different) she can move her head but her toes are curled inwards, and when she tries to walk, she basically drags herself on the ground:hit

She eats and drinks fine...:yesss:

I just wanted to ask if anyone had advise on how I could make her life easier💖

Welcome To BYC

Is there any way to get photos of the chick?

Take a look at this article and photos - is that how the chick is acting? https://the-chicken-chick.com/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it/
Thank you guys for replying
At first i answered that it wasnt the problem but after doing more reasearch on splayed legs in chicks I found that is is spayed legs and curled toes!
I am going to start treatment ASAP

luckily this is fixable (hopefully)
Once again thank you!:wee

I would cull it. As most likely will die a slow death otherwise if it cant move.
I was going to but luckily I did more research and it seems to be splayed legs and curled toes and sometimes it can be fixed !
So i am going to start treatment ASAP:celebrate
Thank you for your concern😊
