I have a silkie hen, about 2 years old, that developed a hurt leg a few days ago. She acted as if it was painful to walk on it and was kind of hobbling around. I felt the leg and all the way up to her hip but she didn't act as if I was hurting her and I didn't feel anything unusual. Thinking she had just strained it somehow I decided to keep an eye on her. It didn't appear to be getting worse for 2 or 3 days, maybe a bit better even. Then I walked in the coop to feed and water the other day. She looked as if she got worked over by a flock member and had no movement in the leg. It just kind of hangs there. She doesn't act like her leg is in pain. She just can't use it.

I have her in the house with fresh water and food. I put electrolytes and probiotics in the water. And I put a heat lamp on her. Well, close to her. She's eating and drinking and alert when she's awake.

She acted unwell at first but now seems to be feeling much better. She just has a leg that doesn't work so she can't get around. Is there any chance that her leg will start working again? It still doesn't feel abnormal and she doesn't act like me touching any part of her hurts. Any wisdom would be appreciated. Thank you
