Parasite Identification + help

Hi folks,

The dreaded time is upon me, there's parasites on my girls for the first time.
I saw these yesterday for the first time. Last I checked they were clear - or at least I didn't see anything during the weekly health check before.

Are these lice? fleas?

I'll talk to a vet tomorrow, she's not open now; but if there's any tips on what I might do today, that would be welcome.

You are dealing with lice by the white lice eggs at the base of her feathers, and the elongated tan bugs. In Canada it can be hard to get permethrin dust or spray, or Elector PSP which are the 2 things I recommend for treatment. Your vet may be able to suggest a product. Your birds need to be treated at 10 day intervals unless the treatment your vet recommends works on them, to get the live lice and then the eggs that hatch every 10 days.
