Partridge and Columbian Rocks

I got a few Partridge Rocks from a hatchery. I just wanted a few layers and they have made very good broody hens as well. In a flock of 100 they really stand out.

Unfortunatly you pick two very rare colors of Rocks. There is only a handfull of breeders of the Partridge and I do not think even that many for the Columbian. Right now the closest to you I think is Walkswithdog here on BYC. She is located here in TN. Hers will be a first gen from hatchery. But that is the case with many of the breeders. There is another here in VA also. Do a search under partridge to find all the posts on them. There is a rare breed post for trade that list a breeder of them also. As far as the Columbians I do not know of anyone breeding them seriously at this time here on BYC. For them check the Plymouth Rock club or Poultry Press

I think i remember a hatchery in Idaho that sells columbian rocks but i cant remember the name

Good luck!

You might check Dunlap Hatchery in Idaho for Columbian rock, they claim theirs are show quality.

For Patridge rock check Marti Poultry in Missouri and Nature's Hatchery in Illinois. Nature's is sold out in most of their breeds until next year though. I know in this forum halo has blue rock and ugly ducky has penciled rock. I haven't seen anyone in this forum selling Patridge or Columbian .
