We got home around 10:30 last night and when I went to shut the coop door, I noticed a trail of feathers leading out of the coop. I counted all my chickens and found that my partridge cochin pullet was missing. I've had this happen before, so I assumed she was dead. But his morning when I went to open the coop door, there she was on my deck! She looks find other than her one wing hangs down lower than the other one. It looks like she tried not to use it. I'm wondering if it's broken. A friend suggested that I tie it up by wrapping something (I did have an ace bandage, so I used a long piece I cut from DH's old t-shirt) I've tied it around her 3 times now and she keeps escaping.
I'm just wondering if there's anything I should do for her so she doesn't have long-term problems with her wing. I'm planning to go to StuffMart tomorrow to get an ACE bandage and wrap it around her a couple of times before securing it so maybe she can't escape from it.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
