This is a super old thread with someone I remember for many years back (flyingmonkeypoop-Michael, right?), but I have a 25 week old Barred Rock pullet who thinks a 12 week old Partridge Brahma is her little brother. She is having trouble making her place in the BR group with the rooster so she's been living with four Partridge/blue partridge Brahma cockerels I had for sale until she starts laying, and getting along very well with them.
Soon, I may only have one partridge male left of the four Brahma boys, maybe even the blue partridge if no one buys him, but I don't really want two males competing over one pullet. If he does not sell right away and she begins laying, I was thinking about the cross that would make. I've crossed a Blue Orp over Buff Brahma and got very cool-looking and huge Brahma-looking birds with good pea combs from that cross.
I knew that the males would be barred from mom, but had not really considered of the color of the pullets. This answered that for me. And they'd probably be pea combed or something close since pea comb is dominant, if I remember my comb genetics. Both breeds are yellow legged, of course, and most likely, the chicks would have some feathers on the legs.
