I can't find a nice partridge rooster. I have a very pretty gray roo and I was wondering if I put him with my partridge hens what outcomes of their chicks will be? Will they be gray and partridge? or will they be a mixed color?

Kelar has some eggs posted now. She had the nicest partridge hen I had seen in person at the Stevenson, WA show. I purchased some eggs from her at the show, and the partridge eggs were very fertile. Consider buying some eggs from her or see if she has some young prospects for sale, and breed true to color.

Does that indicate a sexlink? I mean that a partridge from that union will always be male and the grays mixed?

Yes, it is sexlinked; however it is not easily obvious in the chicks as to which is which. If the splits are bred to partridge hens, the males will be 50/50 partridge and splits.
