Just for info---I have raised about 10,000 in the last 3 years and I have never used ACV ever. I keep the temp on the brooder properly set and only have had a few with pasty butts. But I have heard of others using it???

What is the temp in the brooder?
Too hot can cause pasty butts
and so can Cocci.

ACV is used by a lot of people, including myself at one time, but it doesn't help pasty butt or much of anything else. With young chicks, I would not use it. Pasty butt happens due to dehydration, usually from too hot of a brooder or from shipping stress. Clean their vents daily, reduce the brooder temp to 85F with a thermometer in the hottest spot on the floor, provide a cooler area to go to, and get them drinking water. I normally have never seen it past the first week to 10 days in normal chicks.
