I have one baby chick a blue silkie that is almost 2 weeks now. She gets pasty butt EVERYDAY! I put apple cider vinegar in their water. I have been trying to make her drink more but she doesn’t seem to like it when I try and do it.
im worries what that does for her heath. I’m sure that being like that can’t be good EVERY DAY! EVERYDAY GUYS!!!! Everyday! Lol
Someone told me olive oil on her butt when it was pronated and so I tried.
what can I do?
is this dangerous?
I feel like a new mom again. With my first kid I was always having questions. We’re back at it again lol

New update her pronated butt is back and it’s bleeding 😭 what do I do to help her

[USER=380647]@Wyorp Rock correct me if I’m wrong!

Gently clean it with some warm water, maybe some antiseptic rinse if you have any. Apply some triple antibiotic cream, to the area and keep it as clean as you can. This looks like a development issue to me, like the vent area didn’t develop all the way as chick in the egg. Make sure you don’t pull on any scraps or anything, it can easily pull her intestines out.

what does her naval look like any issues there?

I would suggest not putting ACV in the water and instead adding probiotics. Do you give them any treats? If so, I'd stick to just their crumble/mash for the time being. I agree with @Kgbao in terms of cleaning, but while the chick is wet, up the heat in the brooder for a little bit because a wet chick will feel colder than a dry chick.

I have been keeping an eye on them round the clock between me and my kids, mother and husband. And my other chicks haven’t picked on her at all. Since she has had this every day I put olive oil in her vent but I will try the antibiotic cream. Thank you. I have cleaned it in many ways. Running water or a nice soak. I never pick I just try to gently rub.
is that development issue something that could correct itself? Thank you

I have not givin them any treats. I usually blow dry her just a little on low heat after I wash them

Unfortunately my chicks didn’t, she made it to about day 6 before she gave up. She had more issues then just a vent, that’s why I asked about her naval, mine had a prolapsed naval also.
