Hello. I am the proud owner of 2 Rhode island reds and 4 buff orpingtons, all about 5 days old. My dogs are ticked.

I am newly married with no kids, own a small house, and my wife and I just finished law school. The bar exam comes next and we may have to move to Chicago for work. Right now I'm just working a terrible job and raising chickens.

I want to raise chickens because I am appalled by the poultry industry, but my love of fine cooking precludes veganism. I spend most of my free time cooking.

I hope to learn some amazing thing about my how to raise my chickens in a way that is beneficial to both of us.

I have only ever seen live chickens when I was driving by farms, until recently.
