About three weeks ago, one of our peahens showed up with her feathers all messed up. It was suggested on here that she may have been attacked. I have kept a close eye on her. she was acting fine, preening out the crazy feathers and looking better so i never disturbed her too much.
But today I noticed she had some little bugs around the scabs on her wings by where the feathers where jostled. I wrangled her, and we put some flies off on the areas. It looks like something big had her on both sides.
Next step? Should I give her a small shot of pen C like I would a chicken or duck? I would have to run into Orschlans and a new bottle since our last bottle was kicked by a flailing rooster with bubble foot and shattered.
Any medical advice is greatly appreciated.
