Peach Cobbler

Melt 1 stick butter (1/2 cup) in a 9X13 pan.

Mix together 1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1 Tablespoon baking powder

Pour over the melted butter.

4-6 cups peeled and sliced peaches sweetened with about 1/2 cup sugar. Spread peaches over the top of the batter. Peaches will sink to the bottom during baking. Bake at 375 degrees for about 20 minutes or until lightly browned.

Getting GOOD fresh peaches is only for a short time here in CT so I'll have to pick some up tomorrow because that recipe sounds delicious!

Making a peach cobbler that's easy to do, start with canned or fresh peach
It starts by creaming together 1cup sugar, 1cup shortening, add 1egg, and then add 1and1/2 cups of flour half a teaspoon of baking powder, half of teaspoon of salt,1cup milk, mix well place in a 9X13 pan, then pour peaches and 2 cups syrup (if fresh peaches are used then add a cup of sugar and 2 cups of water to the fruit, that have come to a boil cooled) over top of the batter , cook at 350° for 30 minutes to 45 or os until golden brown, enjoy if you want cinnamon in it add to fruit
