Do baby peachicks get that growth thingy above their beak? please forgive my slang, do not know what it is called. LOL

You mean the egg tooth? That is used to help them break out of the egg and they lose it after maybe a week or less.

Good guess. my other thought was snood(turkeys- the long dangly thing toms have. Hens have one too just much smaller). Peachicks don't get a fuzzy bump by the beak.. if you're seeing that, it's a baby turkey.

Looks like ya got a baby turkey

did ya hatch this thinking it was gona be a baby pea?

No, I am new to this and I got several differant kind of eggs, peas,turkey,silver pheasant and guineas. Most did not hatch and dummy me did not keep track of the eggs that they came from.

I reallllllly wanted a pea.

Anyone want 2 white turkeys?

Hang in there i waited 25 years to get peafowl, i know that was along time but i had a buisness and my distant neighbor had peafowl up untill 6 years ago and in order to freerange them and my other birds i felt i need to be home most of the time to care for so many and not have my peas leave because they heard the peas in the distance.

Now i am retired
