This is the peachick I hatched after the mom abandoned the egg. It's doing great. Had some feet issues but I splinted them and now it walks around just fine. So question here is about wings. They seem off. They don't lie flat. Should I wrap it?

I suppose that's not a great picture of it. Sorry!

Do you mean the feathers stick out? do you have others the same age? what do you think is different about this one if you do?
It is just a baby it will have many growth spurts in the next year, sometime the wings feathers grow so fast they have to take a day or two to adjust to them, just like a puppy does when it's leggs grow.

I've got 9 babies right now. 4 of them hatched the same day this one did. This ones wings don't lay flush but stick out from the body. They have since it hatched and still do now. None of the others had that.

Without seeing them it is hard for me to understand what they look like, they look fine in the photo you posted so i really don't know what to tell you but i would not go taping them, even if they get angle wing i would think they would be much older if peas even get angle wing, i never seen it in them, thought a couple of my Muscovy ducks were getting it once then i noticed it was just the wings growing so fast they had not adjusted to the weight, they turned out fine.

Are you keeping them in that stiro incubator still?

I know exactly what you are talking about, I had a little one hatch and it's wing feathers were the same way, he is 5 weeks old now and has shed out those first wing feathers and the new ones have grown in nice and straight. I would just give it time.

This was the peachick the mom had abondoned. It was dead cold when we got it. I hatched it in the icubator and it was in there for 2 days until it learned to stand and walk. Now it is outside with my baby chickens in the brooder. It's wings still look the same.

We did have to splint the feet because they were curled up and the chick couldn't stand. It straightened them out and it gets around just fine now.

I wasn't sure if this was an issue associated with being so cold for who knows how long or not.
