This is my first time hatching out from an incubator I have usually let nature intervene. My question is how long should I leave the peachick in the incubator after hatching ? He has two white silkie chicks due to hatch four days later. Therefore to get them all together in the brooder will be the best thing but he/she will be alone for those few days . What should I give him/her to eat and how soon after hatching?

As for your questions I do not have an answer for you, I have never raised peachicks before so have no good advice on what to do.

Here is our new peacock chick called miracle. 2x white silkies hatching this Saturday to keep him /her company .

Aww! I put little mirrors (stuck to the sides of the brooder) and a hanging feather duster in for my guineas when I've only had a single hatch. that way they think they have lots of buddies. For peachicks I was told to make them scrambled eggs mixed with the chick starter and tap on it so they come eat, same with water... and colored stones in the water makes them peck at that as well. (I haven't hatched any peas out but bought young chicks) I was told that with lone peachicks do that multiple times a day to make sure they are going to food & water, supposedly they don't go by themselves? I made sure mine had lots of visits & talked to them a lot. also played music for them. good luck on your hatch!
