Has anybody butchered and eaten a peacock? I would think it is a pet bird.

yes, we have quite a bit over the years.. it was a mainstay for thanksgiving at home. We had turkey on a regular basis-- so it wasn't all that special...

peacock is very similar to eating wild turkey. Although, it is very common to get long sting bones throughout the whole thing.
