Hi ,,
about a week ago ,,an wild animals got into my turkeys pens and bagged the turkeys up ,,,they all survived ,,,but feathers were everywhere and the turkeys got loose ,,,,anyway ,,,since that night my peahens stopped laying !!!! could the terror that night have stopped them from laying ????

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT !!!!

Not sure

How many eggs had she laid before the attack? peafowl do not lay like chickens for the most part, mine free range and they will lay a clutch of 4 to 5 eggs then try to sit them, if i take them away they will start on another clutch in about a week and this goes on all summer till i let them sit their eggs or there laying season is over.

I would keep an eye on all of them it is possible for an egg ready to be laid to rupture inside them from an attack and that is not good.

i have 4 peahens ,,,i was getting 2 eggs a day for about a week (they just started laying),,,, ,was the last night they laid eggs ,,,this is my 4th year for breeding them and its never happened before ,,could the turkey scare also have effected the peahens too ???

p.s. i know this sounds confusing ,,,,if u want to call here is my number 863 398 6750

I really don't know if them getting scared would stop them from laying mine have never been threw any kind of trauma, critters have to get past 9 dogs to get any where near any of my birds and they are not penned.

I guess you may have answered your own question cause if this is the first time it has happened in 4 years common sense tells me that yes they have been disrupted and it has stopped them from laying.
You said your peas lay every day for 7 days, mine may or may not lay every day but when they get to 4 or 5 eggs they try to sit them .

I do not have a phone so i can't call ya LOL

You are welcome, we are here to learn from each other so if you would be so kind as to post when they start laying again and for how long mabe it will help some one else.that might go threw this.

If your peas are also in pens, it's possible the attack on the turkeys frightened the peas enough for them to stop laying. Mine are penned and like to go on strikes if we get a bad storm, which is often in the summer. They usually start up again after a week or two, though.
