In my experience it is not good to mix them with chickens. Chickens carry many diseases that don't hurt them but are fatal to peafowl. Peafowl will also kill chickens during breeding season when they are all hopped up on hormones.

Thank you! I have not checked craigslist but we did find someone who raises peafowl and will sell us some further along this summer.

Also thank you Midnightman14. We will keep them apart if we get them.
