⠀ Peahen

I recently rescued a peahen and her young one from a suburban area where her foot had gotten tangled in some fishing line and she lost a toe, although I was able to save the foot. They seem right at home on my homestead but they seem uninterested in chicken crumbles and wildfowl feed. I have even tried duck food, scratch, and pellets and they really have no interest. The one thing they do seem interested in is catfood which they eagerly snatch up off the porch. Is there anything you can do to recommend feed for their own species?
