Can I feed peanuts in a shell for a treat to my chickens or do I need to shell them first?

Huh, never tried it. I would think they'd have problems with it in the shell but It's worth a try. And you probably already know this but just make sure they're unsalted nuts.

My chickens love peanuts. I usually break them open just to get the interaction but they can open them themselves once they realize the peanut is in there. After all they can tear a mouse apart.
